Statewide Investors is a real estate development corporation founded in 1966 by Roy Hearrean. Statewide Investors has successfully managed a highly diversified development team with extensive expertise in a variety of product types that include conventional apartments, senior housing, single-family residential, condominiums, shopping centers, office buildings, and hotels.

Statewide Investors, Inc. is an organization of real estate experts who have endured and prospered over the years, in good economies and bad. The present value in 2008 for buildings developed, constructed, repositioned for added value, and sold over the years by State Wide Investors, Inc. represents $1.07 Billion in income producing commercial, multifamily, and single family properties. In addition, its affiliated company, SWI Management, has managed over $670 million of multi-family apartments, condominiums, commercial and residential projects.

Through long standing relationships and JV partnerships with major institutions, Statewide Investors has dramatically diversified its operations over the years. Since its formation in 1966, Statewide Investors has generated substantial returns for its institutional and equity partners. SWI has also provided a variety of services including construction management, property management, and disposition services for financial institutions and other fiduciary entities.

WES ALSTON

Wes Alston has extensive experience in the field of Real Estate Entitlement, Development and Project Management. Wes founded Pacific Development Solutions Group (PDSG), a commercial and residential development, entitlement and political consulting firm well known throughout the Western U.S. PDSG provided numerous real estate client services from political consulting to comprehensive entitlement and project management services, taking properties from raw land to final construction for their clients.

As CEO, Wes has managed the expansion of PDSG’s client base to include some of the premier private and public developers and homebuilders in the region. PDSG clients include Beazer Homes, DR Horton, K. Hovnanian Homes, Trumark Companies, Bronson Communities, Pulte Homes, Taylor Woodrow Homes, Newhall Land and Farming Co., and numerous other developers, builders and over 50 different cities, counties, universities and other government agencies.

Mr. Alston also formerly served as the Fire Chief for the Riverside County Fire Department, a department that provides risk emergency management to the County of Riverside and 18 separate contract cities. During his tenure, Wes was responsible for a $143 million budget and the supervision and overall management of the entire Fire Department staff.  His education background includes a B.S. in Engineering from SDSU and an Associates Degree in Fire Science from San Diego City College.

 

IAN HARVEY

Ian’s professional experience includes real estate entitlement, development, and finance. Ian served as both Director of Community Development and later, V.P. of Operations for a private homebuilder in the Western US. In his role as V.P. of Operations from 2005 to 2008, Ian was directly responsible for managing the company’s single-family, multi-family, active adult and mixed-use development activities, which included the entitlement, development and construction of approximately 1,000 homes. Ian was also responsible for the planning and entitlement of a large development portfolio that included an aggregate of approximately 5,000 single and multifamily residential units, over 1 million square feet of retail, office and industrial space, and diverse amenities including sports parks, community centers, clubhouses and golf courses.

Mr. Harvey holds a JD degree from USC’s Gould School of Law, an MBA degree from USC’s Marshall School of Business and a BS degree in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego.

 

MIKE WU

Mike brings his expertise to the team with his background in residential finance, management and sales. As co-owner of two brokerage firms, he has financed over $100MM in residential mortgages through a network of lenders since 2002. Mike has also worked for a private, mid-market homebuilder in Southern California. His many roles included land acquisition, financial analyses of a portfolio of assets encompassing over 20,000 units of various product types, market analysis and strategic planning, structuring of development and mezzanine debt finance, and various project management duties for both entitlement and active projects within all company divisions. Recently, Mike has been involved in the acquisition, rehab and management of multifamily portfolio properties in New York.

Mr. Wu’s education background includes an undergraduate BA degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a JD degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.  Mike is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of California.
